Thoughts Since My Birthday Passed

Sarita

My favorite season is finally upon us! I love what the falling leaves and the chilly weather brings. This is the season of change and so much has happened this year! One thing I can say with confidence is that all the difference was good and the

Lord has been good to me, there's something freeing about what the season brings. This has been my last year as a teenager! Going from 19 to 20 isn't a big deal to most but to me, it's a rite of passage. I'm leaving a part of my childhood behind. In the next ten years, I'll look back to when I was 19 and probably think about how foolish things were, I'll have different worries and maybe I'll have a family. Whatever the future brings I'll be eternally grateful that God gave me this life. I learned many lessons this year and I experienced a mere taste of what it means to be an adult, there's so much more in store for the season and for the rest of the year and there are only two months left! I encourage everyone to go outside and take it all in. Embrace change, embrace life. We fall in and out of love, we discover new things about ourselves, and most of all we have been selected by God to be here and live this life. Think about the blessings of the season as you buy your new wool sweater and drink a pumpkin spice latte. Enjoy life!
